About

Country ENT – a new way of performing outreach ENT care to regional and rural Australia.

Melbourne ENT Group – Regional and Rural – Having both spent a number of early medical training years in rural settings, ENT Surgeons Dr Paul Paddle and Dr Ryan De Freitas welcomed the opportunity to commence ENT outreach visits to Swan Hill in 2014.

In that time, our small outreach service has expanded from a monthly visit to Swan Hill, to regular visits to both Mildura and Swan Hill in person, for both consulting and surgery, and we have been joined by a number of additional ENT surgeons along the way.

During these early years, we have used the team at our sister Melbourne-based Practice – the Melbourne ENT Group – to support this growing service.

Visiting ENT surgeons, with a permanent country heart.

We have always been pro-actively engaged with the local community and health services such as the Rural Workforce Association of Victoria. With regular education sessions, protocol development, new technology & equipment and other enhancements – we have been bringing the same level of quality care to every service location, regardless of distance.

We have actively engaged with the Mallee district aboriginal service, and worked to ensure an optimum level of care for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander patients.

As our outreach service grew however, we knew that in order to provide a more complete continuity of care for our patients our ultimate goal was to have a full-time country presence – hence the birth of Country ENT

Our Services

We are a full-service ENT practice providing consultation, minor office procedures, and surgery, and through our partners in Country Hearing Care – a complete, audiological service as well.
